The Business Council for Africa, Ghana.

The Business Council for Africa, West & Southern (BCA W&S) is an organisation run by an Executive Board and secretariat in London, with regional Councils in Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal.
BCA W&S is a group of over 350 companies and entrepreneurs having interests in West and Southern Africa, and is closely linked with the EU through its membership of the Business Council for Africa UK which is part of the European Business Council for Africa and the Mediterranean (EBCAM).

Originally known as West Africa Business Association (WABA), with the head office in London, UK, a branch of this private sector organization was established in Ghana in June 2002, with only five founding member companies, namely CAL Bank, Stanchart, Golden Tulip Hotel Accra, Taysec, and Coca-Cola. In 2010, WABA (GH) changed its name to Business Council for Africa (BCA-GH), on a directive from the head office which had opened additional branches in East/Southern/Central Africa. At the moment, BCA (GH) comprises 100 member companies.
